Medical Supports

Some addiction services offer testing for infectious diseases, vaccinations for Hepatitis A and B as well as wound clinics. Some addiction services have registered nurses or doctors operating on-site.   They provide medical care for drug related injuries like abscesses, wounds or skin problems. They may also assist in the diagnosis and treatment of a range of general health problems and provide referrals to other health services.
